UNISON Scotland's communication team has prepared the following resources for local government activists to use when campaigning in the build up to the local government ballot in September 2014. A guide for using local media This is a brief guide to assist local activists when using this model press release and working with local media more generally
Campaign grid This is just a model which can be adapted to fit local campaigns. It is simply to help you to think about how to get news lines each week
Local media grid This is another prompt. You do not have to do it this way. It’s to make sure you know your local media, who the key journalists are and how and when they need stories?
