UNISON Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Group Conference 17-19 November 2006

National LGBT Conference is taking place this weekend and this is to remind you about the pre conference meetings. The registration and welcome desk will be open from 1pm on Friday and will be staffed by reps from the National Committee.

Make sure you come along, meet your reps and get your ballot papers and additional information leaflets etc.

• Labour Link meeting from 1:30pm - 2:10pm.
  
  
• Bisexual caucus meeting is from 2:15pm - 3:10pm to which all bisexual members are welcome to attend.
  
  
• Trans members caucus meeting is from 3:15pm - 4:10pm to which all trans members are welcome to attend.
  
  
• The Scottish Regional meeting is from 4:15pm - 5:00 pm. Be sure to come along and meet the rest of the Scottish delegation. We will be discussing our position on motions, click here for more details.
  
  
• Service Group meetings are from 6:00pm - 7:15pm. This is a good opportunity to meet other delegates from your service group.

Discussions will be around service group specific issues and potential motions for conference, as well as electing someone to attend Conference from the LGBT group.

On Saturday afternoon there are discussion groups and members of the Scottish delegation will be facilitating a workshop on trans equality - a beginners guide. Representatives from the Glasgow LGBT Centre will showcase a trans equality training DVD they have developed for use in NHS Scotland. It has also been used (and much praised) by UNISON Scotland and Northern Ireland LGBT groups. Come along for your chance to view and learn. Bring your own popcorn.
