by Kevin O'Neil
The annual Show Racism the Red Card (SRTRC) Fortnight of
Action is scheduled for 17 - 31 October 2007.
Once again, all of the Scotland's 42 professional football

and SRTRC are hoping for an increase on the 300 community
based anti- racist events that took place last October.
SRTRC will again be offering grants of up to £1,000 for local
community-based initiatives that can demonstrate the following
criteria:
· Projects must take place within the Fortnight of Action.
· Projects to be of educational value.
· Projects to involve/ be led by BME participants.
· Projects to demonstrate local partnership working.

Stirling Council UNISON has decided to throw its weight behind
the Fortnight of Action by sponsoring First Division newcomers,
Stirling Albion.
The branch agreed to commission an advertising board at
the club, which will enforce a strong anti-racist message,
and will also sponsor Stirling Albion's home game against
Dunfermline Athletic on Saturday 27 October 2007, to promote
Show Racism the Red Card and the branch's anti-racist message.
Should branches require further details on how to get involved
with the Fortnight of Action, then contact Kevin O'Neil. Tel:
