Communications awards are back
by Kate Ramsden
The Scottish Communications Awards have been re-born after
a gap of four years.
Branches and self organised groups are invited to submit
entries for the best publication, best use of electronic media
and best campaign. Winners will be presented with a cash prize
and certificate at December's Scottish Council and can incorporate
the competition symbol in future publications. All entrants
are promised a helpful critique.
"We know that there are many excellent publications and
websites out there and that a great deal of campaigning work
goes on day in, day out. We think it is important to recognise
and reward this, and that is why we are delighted to see the
Awards reborn!" said Chris Bartter, on behalf of the Campaigns
and Communications Committee.
Entries must be submitted by 3 November. For Rules and Entry
forms see www.unison-scotland.org.uk/awards.
