Immediate health pay rise in Scotland welcomed
UNISON - Scotland's healthcare union - today welcomed the announcement
from the Scottish Minister of Health, that nurses and other health
professionals in Scotland would receive the full 2.5% of the Pay
Review body award without staging.
Glyn Hawker, UNISON's Scottish Organiser for Health, said "We are
delighted that the strong lobbying by UNISON has borne fruit. The
minister has listened to health workers' concerns. This reflects
the more effective and co-operative nature of the NHS in Scotland."
