An Unfinished Song
Concert for the Victor Jara Foundation, supported by STUC

Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on Sunday 5 March 2000 at 7.30pm. Tickets start at £11 from the Box office on 0141 287 5511.

Sheena Wellington singing 'A mans a man for a that', a special guest appearance by Hamish Henderson along with Salsa Celtica, Inti Illimani, Ceolbeg and Sileas promises to make this an evening to remember.

"The Victor Jara Foundation was established in the name of one of Latin America's most gifted artists who was murdered in the military coup in Chile in 1973", explains Bill Spiers, STUC General Secretary.

"Renowned in life for his contribution to the recovery and promotion of the traditional music of his continent and his work as a theatre director, in death, his continuing international presence has demonstrated that the killing of a human being cannot wipe out their ideas or their creative contribution. The foundation exists to carry on his work and keep his spirit alive."
