Virtual success for Dumfries and Quarriers

Dumfries Health and Quarriers branches, who have membership spread over a wide area of Scotland, will be two of the 12 branches across the UK to be funded from the Union Modernisation Fund to create 'virtual branches'.

The money will be used to fund web and email development to enable branch work to take place via the internet, rather than by activists having to travel large distances for meetings.
