Happy birthday Nelson!

On 18 July this year Nelson Mandela will be 90 and Action for Southern Africa (ACTSA) is organising as many opportunities for Scots to be able to wish him well as they can. The aim of their work is to spread the card artwork etc as widely as possible and let people do their own thing!

So why not organise something in your workplace and local branch to get people to sign his birthday card? There are some Scotland-wide events of course.

• The card will feature at the STUC in Inverness from April 21 -23
• Brian Filling of ACTSA is one of the speakers at the Glasgow May Day on 4 May.
• On the birthday itself, 18 July, the Lord Provost of Glasgow is planning an event in George Square (more info later)
• And on 25 October - ACTSA organise a major conference at Glasgow Caledonian University
