Immediate health pay rise in Scotland welcomed

UNISON - Scotland's healthcare union - today welcomed the announcement from the Scottish Minister of Health, that nurses and other health professionals in Scotland would receive the full 2.5% of the Pay Review body award without staging.

Glyn Hawker, UNISON's Scottish Organiser for Health, said "We are delighted that the strong lobbying by UNISON has borne fruit. The minister has listened to health workers' concerns. This reflects the more effective and co-operative nature of the NHS in Scotland."
